Verifying database in Windows 8 takes too long

I am continuing to install "old" Daz content such as Gen3 and Gen4 to my C:/DAZ/Studio/Content folder whereas all Genesis and V5 stuff go into My Library since upgrading to Windows 8. I notice that it takes way longer now to search for the installed Content and present the Unassigned category in Daz Studio 3.1.2.32 (64-bit). Is anyone else experiencing a noticeable difference between Windows 7 and 8?
