Something is wrong with my Daz Studio

I was having trouble downloading DAZ Studio 4.9, as far as I can tell no one I knwo that has DAZ Studio 4.9 knows how to fix it, I downloaded the install manager and installed DAZ Studio 4.9 but the application won't show up. There's no icon and I can't find it in my downloads folder either.

Mac or Windows? Which version? What, if any, security software are you running (anti-virus, firewall etc.)? There are several packages for Daz Studio - the application, in 32 bit and 64 bit versions, PostgreSQL and a number of plug-ins likewise, plus several batches of content - exactly which files did you install?
