ed3D - if you give the lady an umbrella she'd be probably a bit less uncomfortable. Very well done, it does feel wet.

Yellow Pen - excellent, it looks really real. Nice place to get a shower, though it may be quite windy.

My second entry with another try at snow, less windy this time.
    Title: Sun and Snow.

ed3D: another fine rain render. Perhaps you could try to get more rainy feeling by changing the specularity of the dress of the lade (and her hair) to make is shine more. And a puddle on the street would look great!

David's and Horo's  Grand Mountains I notice is now up on DAZ - a majestic piece that might suit Brycers for the challenge.

    drachenlords - thank you.

    adbc - thank you.

    Yellow Pen - thank you.

mtnmen - thank you. That's a super cool idea and superbly done. We have the saying that it hails cats, but the idea didn't occur to me.

    ed3d - thank you.

Jamahoney - thank you Jay. In fact, my first two entries above were made exclusively with what the set contains.

Here is my third and last entry. The terrain is also from the Grand Mountains set, the materials from the High Resolution Terrain sets 2 and 3 and the sun rays from the Inclement weather set.

Entry #1 Another Joyless Day on the Plains of Purgatory

I got the idea of lost souls endlessly walking to nowhere from Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" books.
LowRez figures imported from DAZ Studio, sky from Horo's HDRI Enhanced Skies set, rain from Horo & David's Inclement Weather set, the rest built/adapted by me in Bryce. No postwork.

I've been avoiding this thread until I had something to post (guilt feelings) so please excuse the comments being so late for the early entries.

bigh "Spring Morn" - very pretty entry (I especially like the sky).
Horo "Wetterumschlag" - ooh, looks chilly to me! Nicely done of course.
drachenlords "Rain in Downtown" - very atmospheric, I like the way you've given the impression of water on the street.
drachenlords "Beautiful Day" - quite a contrast to the last one! Beautiful day, beautiful render.
Hansmar "Refreshing Spring Rain" - I like your effect of the raincloud moving into the scene across a brighter sky, very spring-like indeed.
ed3D "Sunny Days" - nice one, that's a very realistic-looking beach/dunes, and the skin came out rather well too.
drachenlords "Ambush in the Fog" - I'm really impressed by your fog and the lighting looks good too.
S Ray "Vane Weather" - what an interesting idea, it's great!
ed3D "A Rainy Night" - a real contrast from your first one, that rain looks fierce.
Yellow Pen "Storm Tide" - wow, the seaspray came out so well! When I was a student I lived in a flat near the sea and we got waves like that in Winter.
Horo "Sun and Snow" - another lovely render, the snowflakes really seem to be floating in the air and the light/shadows really make it great.
mtnmen "It's Raining Cats and Dogs" - superb idea, I wish I'd thought of that! Well done.I love the way the cat's paws have run down the glass.
Horo "Sun Rays" - so pretty, and another example of how a terrain can look really different with a change of scale, at least I presume that's a rescale if it's from your latest mountain set - I snapped that up from the store, but haven't had chance to try it yet as my download backlog exceeds my broadband allowance (it happens every major sale)
Yellow Pen "The Sandstorm" - oh that's good - it almost makes my throat sore!

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,643

    drachenlords - thank you.

    Hansmar - thank you.

    adbc - thank you.

    mermaid - thank you.

Yellow Pen - thank you. That Sandstorm looks very "sandstormy". Well done!

MelanieL - thank you. A very dreary place, fitting the idea of lost souls perfectly.

MelanieL : Scary place, well done !
