Shaders on Lotus Maiden Dress Weirdness

Hi there..
I'm working on a scene using the Lotus Maiden dress. I've been playing with shaders and such to make parts of the dress transparent, etc. When I'm working on the the jacket I noticed that a part of the arm looked like it had an arm band on it so I thought I must have missed applying the shader or something, but I couldn't find anything wrong.
I loaded the original textures back on the outfit and started over. Turns out, when you turn down the cutout opacity to make it transparent, it does the same thing even with the stock textures.
Also...when I roll over it with the surface selection tool it seems to pick up some sort of deformity on the arm that looks like there's some sort of different mesh there.
It only does this on one arm...not both. It's definitely the clothing, as when I take off the dress the skin acts normally. Notice on the pic with the spot render, it does make the bulk of the dress transparent, but way less so in the affected area. It's like that one "armband" part is not reacting to the shader. When I turn the cutout opacity ALL the way down the entire jacket disappears, as it should. It's only when it's in a percentage of transparency that it does it.
Anyone else experienced something like this?

The preview of transparency is always poor, the render issue may indicate a problem with the mesh - however I am not immedaitely seeing anything.

Did some more digging and here's what happened:
I loaded the outfit again with stock textures. Tried the transparency thing...it looked fine. So I loaded a figure (stock G3) into it and conformed it. Still fine in zero pose.
Next I tried the pose I had been using and it showed up!
So I tried a few more poses from that pack and it shows up in another one, but not in most of the rest. Pic of that attached. It's smaller, but still there.
Next I tried a bunch of poses from other packs, same vendor and different vendors and it didn't happen.
SO...it seems to be only 1-2 poses from that one pack that makes it happen.
When I take the figure out of the dress and only pose the dress, it's hard to tell but it does still do it on those poses.
Do you think I should report it as a bug for that pose set? I'm going to see about using perhaps a different outfit or something but I love the pose so I'm going to try to work around it.

If there is a Smoothing Modifier on the dress try turning it off. That pose looks like it is causing the arm to touch the dress side which in turn causes unwanted smoothing wrap around the arm.
That sounds plausible - certainly the dresss does hae a Smoothing Modifier (see the Mesh Smoothing group in the Parameters pane - it's collision you want to turn off).
