Iray Memory Overflow - Have to reboot everytime... @_@

My problem step by step:
-Buid scene with tons of figures
-Iray use cpu instead of my Gtx 1060 6GB
- I know what's going on here but let's watch log files, It tells me "oh noes, there is too much stuff on your scene (6GB available, needs 6.01GB????), please buy a 16GB Nvidia card, can't you just estimate the amount of stuff before hitting the render button?" (No i can't... I just can't.)
-Hide every figure in the scene.
-Iray don't bother to try using GPU this time and use CPU as default... (inb4 "did you check your render settings"=> Yes..... YEEEES I DID!) Basically if you fail to render with Iray once, then it turns into a "I'm bored of you" mode, just throwing everything to the cpu...
-Save, Quit, Restart Daz, Reload exact same scene. (TAKES SO MUUUUUCH TIME!)
-Iray use GPU
What i want:
- Memory consuption warning (render failing silently to use GPU is really awfull)
- Allow to retry a gpu render without having to reboot the whole damn thing.
Love you guys your product are great! ❤

As far as I am aware the locking of the GPU after a memory overflow is not sioemthign Daz can fix.
It isn't by any means infallible, but there is https://www.daz3d.com/iray-memory-assistant If, as is likely, the main drain on RAM is the textures you may want to try one of the scripts here https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/137161/reduce-texture-sizes-easily-with-this-script/p1
