Just bought the Freak5 Pro Bundle. Some of the installers seem to be a bit messed up. Where do the Poser Companion Files go, exactly?

You only need the Poser Companion Files if you use Poser

Yes, I do use Poser. I'm saying the installers are not working properly. I have to find the correct place, I think, to install the Poser Companion Files.

They go to a Poser external runtime - that is the folder you have selected in Poser, that holds the actual Runtime folder itself.

OK, that's what I thought. Now, the same thing happened with the DAZ files. The installer just pointed to some place I know the files are not supposed to go. I posted a separate post on this. I tried to set the correct path, but the installer creates new folders inside that path, and not all of the /data etc files are installed. Again, this is on a Mac. The PC files may all be OK, thought I don't know.

  • I've discovered that as of late the files become VERY messy when using the auto install option - as it will create multiple files folders with name variences. I have learned to master the art of manually installing all my Poser files, as this keeps everything organized in the exact manner that I expect to find all my files within the Poser Library. If you have ever attemtpted to navigate the DAZ Library then you have experienced just how quickly one can get lost in their sloppy file paths. Let me know if you need any assistance/tips with the manual intstall method.
