Mixamo rigged figures work in Daz Studio

Who knew? For those who have fuse and mixamo. You can get these autorigged figures into daz studio.
Just rig in mixamo as usual, export as collada.
Import collada into Blender
Then Import to blender and change "Armature" to "RootNode" in two places (not sure if works without doing that yet). -no need for this bit
Export as FBX 7.4 - Armature FBX node type>Root
....reupload to mixamo, apply animation and download as fbx with skin (well, you dont actually need to apply animation if you don't want to)
Import fbx into daz studio ;-) Hopefully it works like that with makehuman figures too

Makehuman models work- I got the mh .obj file rigged in under 10 mins! although I didnt sort the textures out.
*To get the "with skin" option (you need for daz) you have to at least apply a t-pose in mixamo before exporting
Thanks for the info! This will definitely add to the variety of characters available.
I've tried your approach multiple times. No luck :(
