"Ghost" geometery in old Poser content!
Hi all,
I was transferring my old poser content back on my computer after a fresh install and when I tried to use Peaches (little anthro figure from runtimeDNA) I get "ghost" geometery when I try to add things. If I add "Lynx Ears" I get ghostings of the "Lynx Tail" and when I try to load "Lynx Tail" I get ghostings of one Lynx ear, but in blue.
I've seen this before in other products but I do not know how to fix it. The geometry is visible in renders, is un-selectable, hides with the entire object, but if you hide every part individually it is still visible.
Attached is a screenshot of what I mean.

I added the Tail and got parts of the ear. Like I said, they are visible, and untouchable.
Help!

that's very odd... what version of Daz Studio are you using?
I use peaches often and I don't see this.
Have the same problem, the moment when adding ears or tails it happens. Also have not found a real solution...
happens in the latest DS version, 4.5.1.56
If you want to be creative/experiment, what you could do:
-Add the part you want.
-Go to the surface tab
-Dial the opacity for the surfaces you do not want to see to zero
-Add a shader/manually change the surface of the parts you want to see.
Until now i have not got any render to my satisfaction this way, so only use them in Poser at the moment. Hopefully someone else as a better/real solution.
The ears and tail, are they conforming or parented to the figure?
If they are conforming, the cr2 is likely to have been created to load both the tail and the ears. Did you look to see if there are utility poses? If it is a cr2, oft times, there would be utility poses that hide or unhide parts like the ear and tail.
If they are props and parented, find the tail in props list or hierarchy window and either click the eye closed to hide it or highlight it so it shows up in the scene file list. If you want to delete it, you can delete it from the main object menu.
