All right, I give up

Finally decided to play around with Studio 4.9 and Genesis, and give V4 and Poser 11 a little rest. My question is this - in Poser, I can change the expression on V5 and S5 faces, but for the life of me, cannot figure out how to do that in Studio. There's nothing in the Parameters tab, and I can't find anything in any of the other tabs. What am I missing, and where? Did I somehow click on a setting and foul everything up? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Studio? Or is the problem with the Genesis figure?

Check out this video. Do you have the same options available? It's a little bit outdated but the parameters section should look the same when the head is selected.

No, I don't. And I just noticed that the Gen 4 morph option is not available to me for Genesis. Obviously, something went south. Guess I'll uninstall Studio and re-install it in the morning. Thank you!

Uninstalling and reinstalling Studio will not fix content problems.  You need to know where your content is installed and tell Studio through the Content Directory Manager.

    Ah, I see. Thanks!

A follow up - Studio is pointed to the correct directory for the content. But yes, uninstalling and rel-installing did not solve any of the issues, either. I was hoping that by doing that, Studio would re-install as "factory fresh" and ask me were everything was. No go. Too bad. But before I uninstall it for good, is it possible to re-install it to a brand new state without reformatting my hard drive?

are you click on the figure location you want to edit? Do you install your content manually or with DIM?

Yes, I am clicking on the figure location that I want to edit, in the case of V5, the head. However, I now have a new problem with Genesis, and that is, when it loads, it loads "invisible". V5 and S5 don't do that, nor does any of the props that I've loaded (so far). As for the content, I load it manually, into a "Genesis" directory so that both Poser and Studio can access it. I pretty sure that I inadvertently did something that has caused this issue, but don't know what it was that I might have done. That was why I was hoping that I could do a "factory fresh" re-installation of Studio without reformatting my hard drive. If not, then I guess so be it, and I'll give Studio another try, when I do have to reformat my hard drive. That is just not an option right now. I do appreciate everyone's advice. Thank you.

Are you selecting the head body part as you are used to do it in Poser? That whouldn't work. Look at Genesis morphs as full body morphs. Path should be My Library or content/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base

Note that this is a bit of overkill, like using an atom bomb to get rid of a mosquito; you should never need to do it. The reason your re-install of DAZ|Studio didn't work is that the settings for content location aren't stored with the program, so the old settings pop right back up again when you re-install. You have to look at the actual content settings in the Content Directory Manager dialog (Edit>Preferences>Content Library and click on the Content Directory Manger button at the bottom) and see if they agree with where your content files are actually located,

Also note that the content files themselves are just like the content settings, they aren't in the same place as the program, so they aren't affected by an uninstall/reinstall.

SpottedKitty, thank you for reminding me about that setting. The CDM was pointed to the correct location, so something was corrupted. The CDM did give me the location of the hidden directory, so I took the less nuclear option. After removing Studio with Revo Uninstaller, I deleted all DAZ directories (excepting, of course, the directory where my content was actually located), restarted and re-installed Studio. Problem solved. Thank you to all. Have a great weekend!
