Thanks ! I wanted to create a similar feel as the historic painters of the late XIX century, academic and a little statuesque.
I'm hosting the next month and the theme will be March Madness.
Vivayo, you might want to recheck the specular or ambient strength of the bracelet. I don't think it should be glowing quite that much.

Yeah, I know, but when I've tried to correct it, the render crashed and as it is already the 27th February, I would not have time to play with it any further before the end of the month. So, I've decided to keep it like it was...

last day for the Feb contest..... GOOD LUCK EVERYONE THAT ENTERED.
it's going to take most of the day to go through all the renders and pick 5. I'll have to admit.... this really is one of the tougher months to judge. EVERYONE has really stepped up their work. And from what I can tell, most hit the theme on the mark which is going to make it all that much harder to pick from. Don't see where anyone has volunteered to judge next month, come on everyone, lets see some of you step up (even for the first time) and try it. many of you are around most of the month anyway so come on.... don't be shy...

DanaSimple. I simple created a linear point light set to Illumination: On, Intensity: 200, Falloff start: 300, Falloff end: 500, Color: purple with RGB settings of R: 114, G: 0, B: 255. There are also two white spotlights coming from the stage and a light yellow spotlight coming from the bar in back.
I'll have to give that a try sometime. Linear point light? Is this Poser or DS? I'm falling behind, I think. :red:

DanaYeah, it is a new light. There's a Point light and a Linear Point light. From my understanding the Linear Point light was something new added to DS 4.0, and not part of DS 3 or before. It does work differently from the normal Point light in that it has variable fall off zones.
