Oh, because in another contest in the forums once you win 1st you are not allowed to enter again. I don't remember that in this contest though and I read the rules a few times but I was trying to be polite and sure. I will still post in the thread as a nonentry though or I guess I may as well enter since the render has been running almost three days... I do think I will enter a platinum club contest but for that one I need to do a lot of work

Yes bas 3Dcheapaskate has said we do not have that rule for the freebie contest we incourage people to enter each and every month.
The only contest that is likely to happen in is the New Users contest. And it is logical because the NU contest is a learning experience, and so once you have got to be good enough to be selected as first place winner then you are no longer a true New User.
OK. well I guess 3 days & 14 hours into rendering I will enter that picture...
3 days & 14 hours? Three days and fourteen hours?? Please DO enter that picture nonesuch00! I think I'am not the only one here around who's very inquisitive 'bout that render! Show it to the world please! :D (And I was thinking that 6 hours for a render was a long time...)
6 hours or even less is the same as 72 hours if you have an nVidia card. It's mostly because of fog & rain from RTDNA Atmospherics. Funny thing is I'm convinced I need to scale the rain to 1/3 it's current size and then create about a dozen more instances and render it all over again.
I will make the current entry though as a place holder until I can see if my computer will do so many more instances of rain.
All that said my eye hasn't really detected a significant change in the render in the past day so I'll probably stop it tomorrow morning.
