Not sure what you mean here?
I got my email about the Shuttle Star on Jan 24th, and it said on sale for 'Limited Time Only'. It also saays 'Buy Today & Get', and then it mentions 60% off DAZ SciFi Products. Which Mech Bot do you mean, if it is less thatn 60 days old, then it will not qualify, that is the usual rule for all sales.
It may have been a one-day offer, I don't know. Open a support ticket if you are seeing the wrong price and wish to buy the items at the correct price.
I got the same Email a day or two ago it basically looked like this but with pictures:
I tried it.
There was no discount.
It didn't work at all.
The End.
:)
I received the same email. It is dated "Feb.1.13" at the top and says "Offer expires Feb. 4th" at the bottom.
It does seem to be working now. I just put Shuttlestar in my cart and it gave a further discount of $2.10, bringing it to $12.57 for a total discount of 40%. Remember to click on "Go to Shopping Cart" to see the discounts. The email id say that it was for this weekend only, so I guess that we just had to wait for the weekend to officially start ;-)
Well, it gave a discount.
But it doesn't give the additional $10.00 off for the "DAZ Sci-Fi Products" listed.
:)
Remember you have to buy 2 of the 3 items listed and have the sci-fi item from the list all in the cart at the same time. I just put the shuttle, bot, and a $10+ item from the list in my cart. I got a $15 discount($5 to bring the 2 items to 40% and the $10 discount).
Ah, I see. I mis-read. I thought it was any two of the DAZ Originals.
You are absolutely correct.
Though I liked my way better. No way I can afford that. :)
I received an email on Friday which states:
Save 40% on the Best New Sci-Fi Items of 2013
We want to thank you for your support of the Sci-Fi Genre! As a token of our appreciation, we've taken the hottest Sci-Fi items of 2013 and exclusively discounted them - just for you! This weekend only, MECH 2012 Enforcer, Shuttlestar, and Bot Genesis are each 40% off, which is the biggest discount these products have seen.
In addition, buy any two of these items and you will receive a $10 discount towards DAZ Sci-Fi Products purchased in the same transaction. Just add the preferred items to your shopping cart and the discounts will automatically apply at checkout. So what are you waiting for space cadet? Strap on your jetpack and SAVE like the future of the world depends on it!
Offer expires Feb. 4th
So the first paragraph says 40% off those three items. In the store the Mech shows as full price and the other two show as 30% off. I've tried putting the Mech into my cart but it still shows up as full price and I'm not going to go past the payment section just to see if it discounts later.
If, as has been suggested earlier in this thread, we are supposed to buy two items to get the discount, then why does the second paragraph of the email say "In addition..."?
The offer expires Feb 4th, so by the time the Daz offices open it will be too late.
It's irritating because I seem to get a lot more advertising emails from Daz lately. I could accept this if they were accurate and telling me about something I could actually buy at that price. At the moment I just feel that Daz are both wasting my time and also have no idea how to co-ordinate the marketing and sales parts of their business.
EDIT: On re-reading some of the posts above, I tried putting all three into the cart, then from the payment screen went to "View Cart" and the discount appears at the bottom.
I still feel the original advert is misleading. It does not state "40% off if you buy all three of these items." and the second paragraph stating "In addition, buy any two of these items..."
This sort of cheap, manipulative advertising is a shoddy way to do business and it does not become a company like Daz to engage in it. I used to like shopping at Daz because I felt they always did their best for the customers. That seems to have gone out of the window lately.
Sigh, it is still working properly. I just put Stonemasons MECH 2012 Enforcer in my cart, opened my cart, and there was a discount of $13.98 listed at the bottom. The discount on the individual items works if you have 1, 2, or all 3 items in your cart. In order to get the additional $10 off, you need to have at least 2 of the items and $10 worth of items from the list in your cart at the same time.
When checking for discounts or entering coupons, click on go to cart rather than check out.
Since several people seem to have had the same problem, it would seem that the way the 40% discount is being applied is not the best way to do this.
If Daz could just put the 40% off price in the store for the weekend there would be no confusion at all. It has been long enough since the site was "upgraded" that things like this should be working by now.
The trouble is that this is not a sale for everyone, just for the people who received the email. The reason we received the email and discounts is because we recently bought something from Daz with a sci-fi theme. It could even have been a bundle that happened to contain a sci-fi item in it.
Incidentally, based on my experiments, it seems that you can actually use the $10.00-off-if-you-buy-two-of-these-things bonus to buy some of the $1.99 Platinum Club items. This is unusual for DAZ offers (generally, vouchers or coupons or whatever they're called don't apply to PC items).
So if you happen to have a few $1.99 sci-fi items stacked up in your wishlist, now's your chance.
I never received the email and the discount is working for me...
