Is there a way to have my Gen 3 male and female turn to ghost, or a software to help me with this?

Iray or 3Delight? Assuming you mean a translucent overlay you can do that in 3Delight with pwGhost, but for Iray there isn't an equivalent sahder so you would need to overlay two renders (which would at least allow you to alter the lighting for the ghost).
I've experimented a lot with ghost effects, and Richard's method (two renders and composite) is honestly way easier/better than everything I've tried (for Iray)
@timmins.william This is a perfect example of how a well designed iray shader could work.....something that uses the normal to vary the cutout opacity, with a tinting function. The tricky part is keeping the shader from trying to 'pull from beneath' the current surface intersection point where you see the eyebals through the brow and cheeks and such. Hmmm......
Yes. ;)
If you check out my free art shaders, the 'outline' shader does something like that.
I've even come up with some phantom shaders that... are ok. But none of them solve the 'backface' problem. It's possible there might be a way to hide the backface, but I have yet to uncover it (and documentation is pretty nonexistant)
Here's Outline and Phantom from the Art shaders in WTP3.
I've also tried things like 'person made of steam', which work ok (basically use a fog approach). But Iray doesn't have a good way to blend the edges of fog volumes, which is annoying and ruins the effect.
