How to use "Bake Smoothed Morphs"

Under scene/Edit (while having a clothing item selected) the there is a option for "Baked Smoothed Morphs" I assume it is for baking the morphs that are affected by a smoothing modifier, but has anyone used it? I assume this can be used to save a state created by the smoothing modifier for later use. I also assume it won't change your original files/runtime, only the ones in your current scene. I searched around here, but haven't come up with much as to what exactly it does, or how best to use it.

I made a post about this one time With pictures and everything. Its a very useful tool. mainly it enables you to really smooth the morphs you want while leaving other morphs alone. (Its great for getting rid of things like crotch divots without smoothing the whole mesh beyond recognition)
So, if I understood right, it doesn't bake the effect of smoothing modifier, but it exclude some morph from this effect...
