hi,
i have one hard disk, part of which is daz material, which is full, and now installed a second one, where i will put more content.
apparently there is no way to make all content from the two disks appear in one base directory in the content library?
alternatively, supposing i want to put for instance all people stuff on one hard disk, and all environment, props... stuff on another (so that i easily remember where to look), is there an easy way to move this content in explorer?
thank you

You can create categories which can include content from both locations. An easy way to start is to right-click on a folder in Content Library > Daz Studio Formats or Content Library > Poser Formats and choose "Create Category > from this folder and subfolders". Now you have categories mimicking the folder structure, and you can gradually rearrange or combine them as you like.
thank you, that looks interesting.
before i invest some serious time in that, is this categorization something that survives reinstalls etc? can i back up this data somewhere?
thank you
Yes, updates shouldn't affect it, to back it up use the Content Library pane options menu (rectangle with horizontal lines in the upper corner) > "Content DB Maintenance" > "Export User Data". This creates files named UserData_1.dsx (and _2, etc. if necessary) in the Runtime/Support folder of your first Daz Studio Format content folder. It's a plain-text XML file. You can archive that file whenever you make major changes. To restore from the backup, use "Content DB Maintenance" > "Re-Import Metadata"
thank you!
