too big a risk for iClone let alone Carrara with Misty's addon

am not even sure can do an animated walk, trot or gallop in DAZ studio!

I am being swayed by the hairs and (top bits) of the outfits though

centaur 7 has own uvs. almost bought the kabaka character addon, but uses the new uvs.

He uses the Base 3 Male UV for the character skin and the Centaur UV for the horse textures that come with the character :)

and no luck in Carrara but it works in iClone so I am happy

by the way, the centaur mesh is horse2
it shares the same UV mapping too
so maybe in Carrara some clever vertex reshaping and hiding on a DAZ figure and horse 2 could get the sane effect!

is it the same horse 2 rigging? as in doesn't need to be blended weight converted?

sadly not, it at best brings up an error or worse crashes Carrara and in D|S horse motions do not work
you could use the horse and delete head and neck etc

you could also get rid of unwanted legs etc for the top part (eg genesis) or squirrel :)

some things work via Collada but even that is flawed

Wendy, I don't play with FBX or Collada export. Only obj for morphing or props modeling.
is Misty's CarrarActors loading for you like that? I have not seen that.
It looks like some rigging and ERC freeze issue but without knowing what you are loading I am only wildly guessing.
All my scenes created during the last year which contained G3 base male (about 500, no matter with or without Misty's figures) were loading like that.

it looks like you saved over the original base files and may need to reinstall the starter essentials.
