Hi all, I have been really battling to get DS set up correctly on my new computer. Despite everything, the CMS is STILL putting everything into C:\Users\pc\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Daz Connect Library ..... I have successfully installed DS to my F Drive, AND got the DIM installing to that Drive, and have got the Content Manager to look in my F Drive folder. But the CMS is still filling up my C Drive!!! HELP please, someone who knows somewhere else even better hidden where I have to redirect?? Thank you! (Richard, thank you for your patience with me while I've gone through all this, lol!)

Are you sure you changed the Daz Connect Data path? It's above the listing for Daz Studio and poser directories in Content Directory Manager
Hi Richard, here's a snapshot of what I think you mean - is there another one? Thanks!
Thats right. Nothing should be going to the C: drive then, excpt possibly product updates if you kept the existing location as a regular DS content directory.
Well, that's what I would have thought, but as I've been installing with CMS the free space on C Driv has reduced and reduced, and when I looked at the directory C:\Users\pc\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Daz Connect Library I found a "data\cloud" folder containing 52.2GB. If it's in the cloud I presume that means it's on DAZ, so why 52GB on MY drive?? If I delete it, will it mean I have to download again? I think I'll do a sync with my F drive (there is also a cloud directory on there!) So maybe the C Drive is from my previous time? I'll delete it and see what happens....
the cloud folder is the Connect installed content, it is called cloud because that's the source of the downloads (instead of the Daz servers) but it is stored locally. As to why it is being used when the setting has been changed, I don't know - yu aren't running the beta and the release versions, with different directory settings (not, I thought, that that was possible).
No, just one version, but it may have been upset when I had to uninstall twice to get the installation directories right ... Once copied over, I'm going to delete the cloud directory on C and see what happens. Will let you know. Ah, it's the little mysteries in life.... ;)
