HDR ProSets - Urban Storm help

Well, I think I just screwed up.  I purchased this product, HDR ProSets - Urban Storm.  Guess I didn't read the fine print.  Turns out it isn't made for Iray, it's made for Lux or I guess Octane.  Is there any way to convert the product?  I can sort of get it to work, but it's all blurry.  It was quite expensive at $30, and I would really like to get it to work.

There are DAZ Studio presets for them in .duf format so double clicking on them should automatically load everything

    Where would I find those?

I would imagine in the Urban Storm folder. I don't have the product so can't help with that.

Figured it out.  Basically, there are high def images I can plug manually into the environment in render settings.  Pain in the ass!  I saw HDR and I figured Iray.  The presets are basically for Daz with a luxus or octane plug in.  Thanks.

The HDRI are what you use in the Iray Dome if you want to use them for lighting as well as a background. The hi res images are usually just used as a background as there isn't enough information in them for good lighting, they can also be used in the Iray Dome as long as they are panoramas.

Well, it sort of works.  Not great, but it works.  I contacted Daz3d support.  That was a waste of time.  They're "sorry for the inconvenience."  The thing cost me $30 bucks.  I'm sorry too.  That I bought anything from them.  True, I didn't read the fine print.  I think any product that isn't Iray compatible should be advertised as such.  I can't be the first person this has happened to.  I mean, Iray is all the rage around here.  I bought products I never expected to be Iray ready and just assumed I would have to convert them.  But since this wasn't a figure or a prop or an object, it was different.  Been using Daz for years.  I'm not a rookie.  I've spent hundreds if not thousands at the Daz store over that period of time.

Any product from the store that won't work with Iray should be stated as such.  In big, impossible to miss warning signs.  Period.  They want to push Iray?  They want us to spend even more money on the hardware to support it?  They should take responsibility for their marketing.  It's the honest thing to do.

I have the Yosemite set and it loads a Skydome for use in DAZ Studio using 3Dlight but by using the HDRI in the Environment Dome using Iray they work fine. I assume that the HDR ProSets do the same.

The original 3Delight skydome can be used but has to be fixed for Iray as it blocks the light from the Iray Dome which takes a bit of time. I think these are old sets made before Daz Studio had Iray.

To use the original skydome have a read through this.

There are a lot of old sets with Skydomes that do the same not just these sets.

You still have a while to return the product if you are not happy with it.
