A Bevel Tool??

We have some quick questions that we hope someone here can answer for us. Does Hexagon 2.5 have a tool that is the equivalent of a Bevel Tool? If so, what would it be? And also, is there a "Split" tool, or something that is similar? We're still learning the tools in this program but haven't been able to decipher what these would be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are two tools which do what could be called beveling. In woodworking terms, one, the "extract around" under vertex modeling->edge tools would be the equivalent of running a smoothing plane across an edge. The other, "chamfer" under surface modeling, would be the equivalent of sanding the edge to make it round.

Depends on what you want to achieve with "split" - there is the slice tool, under utilities, which cuts a mesh into slices, there is the "extract" tool, under vertex modeling, which will extract a selected part of the mesh from the main body and gives it it's own identity, there is the "dissociate" tool under vertex modeling which splits up a vertex joining edges so that each edge terminates on a separate vertex.....

    Hope this helps you:)

Thank you so much, yes this does help out a lot. We'll play around with these tools just to feel them out. Very much appreciated. :-)
