Hi
I'd like to update from DAZ 4 to DAZ 4.5. But what happen with all the installed objects, items: eg. horses, houses, plants, models etc.

Are they available after updating, have I pay attention to something? OS: MAC OS 10.7 actual/current DAZ 4.0 thanks.
happy evening, cheers

They will still be on your system, though some (the items included with the application itself) will have been updated.

If you upgrade the software from DS4.0 to DS4.5 without updating your content, you'll get some error messages about duplicate IDs when you try to use the content--but you'll still be able to use the items, they'll still show up in the Content Library and (if there's metadata) in Smart Content, and they shouldn't give you any unexpected issues. Just the error messages...

This is basically what I've done. I'm just now, due to the DAZ Install Manager, going through the process of uninstalling content and reinstalling the updated versions.

Oh...one point of clarification: I do highly recommend that you download and install the "Genesis Starter Essentials." This will update the content that comes with the DS4 software. With DS4.5, it's now a separate installer than the software. I think it includes some sets and things that aren't necessarily Genesis content, so t's worth doing, even if you're not primarily a Genesis user.
