My main purpose is to create lowpoly good looking characters quickly, is DAZ3D for me ?
Does DAZ3D store have lowpoly characters to buy ? like around 1000 polygons or 1200 triangles ??

Low poly isn't really order of the day with Daz Studio. Genesis has 18,872 polys, and older models well over that. Of course, games have progressed beyond the point where poly counts are lower than 2k, but all the same a straight Daz character in a game comes with a hefty polygon price tag. There's the Decimator however, which can reduce poly counts down to more reasonable levels.
One thing to note though, is that if you plan on using a Daz character in a video game you'll need an Indie game license at the very least. Also note that it's against the EULA to upload it as a Second Life avatar (as confirmed in another thread) due to the buy/sell nature. That said, if you want some quality artwork to use on the box or just for fun, Daz is a brilliant tool which does the job very well indeed. Any renders made with Daz can be uploaded anywhere, and even sold for profit.
Hmmm,
then what is my best bet ?? i want to design characters with lowpolys quickly. I really dont want to dirty my hands with maya or max and get into long stories.
Reason is i run a small game development company and i already have a lot to work on the game engine side, so i want a smart solution to satisfy my needs
1. How much is the indie licence for, point me to the link ?
2. To how many triangles / polys can i reduce daz characters ??
3. can i export the character i made using daz3d to fbx from the free version ??
Firstly you'll want the Game Developer License.
Secondly you'll want a serial number for Decimator. It's packaged with Daz Studio, but inaccessible until you've got a serial code which is bought separately. You can then reduce the poly count for individual characters significantly.
Do note, however, that the license only covers Daz Originals. Not all content sold on the store will be covered by the license, so do check with the individual store owners if you can use their content.
For point three see here.
still can i reach to 1000 polygons ??
if this is a fast process, i still would like to go for it
It's possible, though I can't say the model would look particularly good if it was reduced to such a low level. Why, might I ask, do you require the poly counts to be so low? With modern computing, even 4k poly's for a character model is about the standard. The character models I use in Unity are around 6k polys.
Reason is i am making a game in which 5-6 users will always be in front of the camera
If possible please install this apk on your android device and see the fps on top left of screen

The soldier is running - it has 18k polygons and fps on my dell steak is 20, after a minute 2 guys will come in front of screen, both 1200polygons each, fps further decreases to 16..
what do i do ?
There is nothing else in the scene for now
Ahh, there's the clincher. I tend to design games for desktops rather than mobile devices, so there's all the more reason to reduce overheads. However, this is one defining reason why creating your own characters becomes all the more important. If you keep figures low poly to begin with, there's less trouble than there would be reducing down a high poly version of the same character.
Decimator might be still be worth a purchase though. It seems to do a pretty good job of retaining most of the details even when reduced down to crazy levels. That said, I don't actually own the plugin so I can't report on how individual characters might be affected by drastic reductions in quality.

I may give you some paid work
Indeed, if you have to go that low on polycount, there's no good reason to start with such a hi-res figure. You'd be wasting polygons on details like ears, toes, nostrils, etc...
for creating your own characters; you might want to look at Make Human
I gave up using Daz for games. Earlier figures had LOD included, but not the new one. And automatic decimation sucks. Look at shops that provide game ready stuff.
Is going that low poly even possible? I don't know of any game characters below 2500, and those are... well, not all that good looking. Loretta and Lorenzo Lorez are 5000 polygons.

The MakeHuman mesh I believe is Public Domain and is on ShareCG... I believe it can be used for whatever...
