Hey there, that is the package indeed but I'm also interested in that character used in the package as well. not sure which model was used in the HD. I was also wondering what hair this is, saw it during the promotion on genesis characters today.

Oh right.

Can't help you there. I did a quick search on Daz's site under G3F hair, but none of them looked like your image.
I thought it might have been this one https://www.daz3d.com/rochelle-ponytail-hair-for-genesis-3-female-s with some adjustments. But the more I look at it the more I'm unconvinced.

Because it is a DAZ Originals product I assumed that there should be a higher chance that the texture is from the DAZ3D store.

-> I first started checking Daz Originals Lyoness  but no luck so far...

This product comes without textures, so I have a novice question. Where should/would I find textures that work, and how can I know if a given texture is compatible with a textureless figure? Particularly if I don't have Mei Lin 7!

The idea of products that include multiple character shapes (morphs) for the body and head is that you can combine them with any textures you want.

The promo pictures often includes a textured example but that does not mean that you have to use that exact texture with that shape.

 

-> On the product page you just have to watch out for the entry "Compatible Figures"

In this example:

Compatible Figures: Genesis 3 Female

 

To find that figure in the blue bar in the DAZ 3D shop you browse to

- People and Wearables

- Genesis 3 People

- Female

That should lead you to this page:

-> Then all compatible characters are displayed there.
