FILE DIFFERENCES AND THE NEW DOWNLOAD MANANGER
A. How do you find out whether a product downloads by means of a zip-file of installer BEFORE purchasing it?
(Most of the issues I encounter are with ZIPS or pathways that are not filled in. Installers that automatically fill in the pathway seem to work fine, unless I run into a file corruption.)
B. I just noticed the new Download Manager. Does that eliminate (or help to elimnate) download issues that so frequently seem to plague the newbie who downloads a lot of product? And is it free? (or just free trial?)

If you are using the Download manager then you will get zips through the app. If you aren't using it then you will get the exe (for the time being) from your downloads page. If your a PC member you can read this thread that gives a good breakdown of the capabilities of DIM. http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/16286/
