Newbie Questions

Haven't tried DAZ Studio in many years, and I'm wondering how it's progressed. I'm curious about the following:

1. I've seen DAZ Studio Pro mentioned. Is there a regular and a Pro version, and if so, what's the difference?

2. I assume Studio still doesn't have dynamic cloth simulation like Poser does? Are there any plugins available to do the job, or is something like Marvelous Designer the best option?

Thanks!

    1. Pro is the only version currently available - though if you don't enter the (free) serial number it will run in standard mode.

    2. No, it desn't. There is a bridge to the VWD plug-in, and there's still the Optiex system which uses special clothing. At least one PA has said they are working on a tool, but nothing is currently available. Quote a few people do use Marvellous Designer to crate and drape clothing, or use belnder or MD or another tool to run a simulation on clothing and then load the result as a morph.

    1. There's just Pro. It's free. Use it. :)

    2. It has optitex dynamic cloth for free. Lite version. You can buy the full version from Daz, but the lite version does most of the stuff. There's also VWD (sold on rendo). It's available for Poser and Daz. It can use any clothing (not just dynamic-specific objects), but it's not free and it has a steeper learning curve.
