Ravenhair's Romi Shawl... LOVE IT BUT I NEED ANOTHER!

I LOVE IT!!! It is absolutely a perfect, PERFECT shawl and a much needed item for my fantasy renders.

BUT I have one small problem.. it only wraps around her waist!! I'm hoping to attract Ravenhair herself, because I REALLY want a shawl prop like this, by itself, that can be worn/drapped over the shoulders. And I will pay seriously for such a commission! If anyone can make this, I'd be so appreciative. I need a shawl for my fan art renders for the Wheel of Time, which is what got me into 3D art... since 2004-ish!

Oh please 3D gods let me have this XD

It's really old,  but I have got it onto other figures    https://www.daz3d.com/dna-morphing-shawl-for-v3

Thank you for the suggestion. But the problem is this... I need long fringe AND something that is realistic and doesn't magically sit on the shoulders without falling off... Like this one appears to do.

I need one that will genuinely wrap around her shoulders and arms as a real one would b

    ALTERNATIVELY!

I know someone who would make such a prop for me. BUT he cannot rig it for a DAZ figure and neither can I. So technically it would be ideal if I can find someone to rig this for G3F OR make it a dynamic clothing figure....

If you know someone who could model the shawl, could they run a dynamic simulation to create a series of shapes you could use (rather than trying to rig it, which would be extremely hard to do well).

See, for a lot of my art I have animals I can only pose in Blender. It's difficult at times to use in DAZ cause if one thing is off I have to keep going back and forth between programs.

Alternatively, I could do as you suggest and use D-forms for adjustments. My modeler works with blender. As far as I know, you can't rig a clothing item in blender right? Not for a DAZ figure anyway.

Blender would do the draping for you, though I'm not familiar with it to give instructions.

I could do you any dynamic scarf compatible with the optitex dynamic plu-in. jsut send me some images of what you want to achive or some specifications on size and pre-shape and possible meshcount. default is a 7mm resolution.

Is optitex a plug-in for DAZ? DAZ already does handle dynamic clothing... ? Or would optitex make it compatible with what DAZ does? Sorry, a bit confused. And what is 7 mm? millimeter? What does that translate to as pixels?

yes, I was refering to the integrated optitex dynamic capabileties. Optitex is patternmakin program for the textile industry. To speed up development ti,es for new garmenst the developed their own 3D visualisation code. This code is licenced to DAZ. As this is for real garments in the real world they work in life size. Most DAZ figures are pretty much real size as well. So the average person is about 1.80 meter tall. In this context the length of one edge on a mesh triangle is 7mm. This is quite small, or a high resolution. If you want to drape a handkerchief you would want that for a table cloth you could life with 12mm. I can make wathever you want in whatver resolution. But remeber, its a patternamking software. So to make a complicated jacket with zips and lots of different pieces will take a lot longer than just crating a single piece of fabric in various sizes.

    VirtualWorldDynamics, an offsite solution

I would make them using optitex.
