Possible to render in 16 or 32 bit?

Is it possible to render in Daz Studio in 16 or 32 bit? If so, are there any tips, and/or how do you save the images?

If you use Iray with Canvasses (REnder Settings>Advanced>Canvasses sub-tab) then they are savedas .exr - 32-bit I think. They go in a sub-folder named for the main render.

  • They are saved in 32 bit. You can speed up your render times by doing depth of field in post, too, as long as there isn't any transparent bits (the depth pass treats all surfaces as opaque). Another nice thing about them is making separate passes for each character or background, so you can tone them without having to make a mask in Photoshop. It's a powerful workflow.
