he found this while looking for something to do exactly what this does. It lets you make a 360 HDRI map that is Carrara compatible from ANY Google street view!

Step 1
Go here and follow the instructions. You have to download the extractor and then pinpoint your desired location. PC or Mac

Step 2
Convert the 360 image to an HDR image. There are better (more accurate) apps for converting to HDR radiance maps but this is quick and easy.

Step 3
Load into Carrara 

Step 4
Post your Where in the World am I render

    HI Stezza :)

    Carrara can also use JPG as scene lighting, although it's low range,... maybe try the raw JPG version against the HDRi,. see if there's much difference.

    as long as "Skylight" is enabled,. carrara will use any image in the background chanel, as the light source.

    My guess is,.  your in Paris.

    or Or Orlando , See world.

    Hi 3DAGE, yep, I'm playing around with all sorts of different lighting thanks for the tips yes

    but both your location guesses are wrong unfortunately wink

    from the top image starting off

    Sydney in Australia then Blackpool in England then a nice looking place in North Korea and the last one is Moscow cool
