Question about Auto-Log-Out Process in Forums

When I log in to the forums here I check "keep me logged in".  But it seems like, if I am gone for any significant period of time - as short as a single day - when I come to the forums next time, I get logged out by force, and then have to log back in again.  I'm not sure if this is the intended behavior, but I personally find it rather frustrating to have to log in again every time I come here.  I would much prefer to have the "keep me logged in" option... keep me logged in.
