    I often wonder this, too. When you're building a robot, there are no evolutionary reasons not to simply give them additional sets of arms so that they can hold more tools or do extra tasks.

    What would/could be really awesome is a modular mech-robot type figure. Have a basic waist with multiple torso options for different arm types (2, 4, 6, cannons, missile launchers, whatever) and different leg options (2 legs, 4 legs, wheels, whatevers)

     

    The base model could come with a couple options, then expansions could be released adding new arm and leg options...

     

    Or maybe I'm just crazy

    I was going to say maybe because it was too niche, which could still be the case because it looks like a cartoon gundam mech and really wouldn't fit well with "realistic" sci-fi renders. But then a "realistic" robot/mech would also be pretty niche but I think yould be a lot more usuable and would sell better that one (while modular) is still very restrictive due to it's style
