traffic jam

I would like to create a highway or roadway filled with normal looking cars in a traffic jam. Other than buying each car individually, are there any low rez stuff that can be used to create a realistic looking traffic jam?

If not, can someone make one?wink

Saw that but it doesn't say that it is for DAZ but only for Poser

They work fine in DAZ, although you may want to tweak the surfaces. Here are a couple straight out of the box (no tweaking) rendered in Iray

  • Yes, plenty of stuff made for Poser works fine in Daz Studio, I've grabbed oodlygobs of Poser stuff and used it in DS.

How do you know what will work and what will not work?

I bought this [ https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/pontiac-firebird-trans-am/87375/ ] and I can't seem to get it to work.

My hazey recollection is that a product has to be made for Poser versions 5 or 6 or below, because around Poser 7 or 8 they changed some of the elements in how stuff is rigged and/or how some of the textures map onto the object.  I may be misremembering it slightly, though. Someone else here more knowledgable about this can confirm or refine that info.

. Poser stuff that is textured using the material room and node based shaders  won't transfer into D|S, or rather the textures will need tweaking  or possible completely redoing.. Poser dynamic clothing  will only work in the poser cloth room.  THe same goes for Poser native hair.  The human figures will not move from Poser to D|S AFAIK.   Not the ones that are designed for Poser, due to weight mapping and stuff like that.    However, in the main, props should work, apart from the possible shader issue.

The Pontiac that you mention does say in the Readme that it is not tested in DS.  What is it that you can't get to work?

Not particularly loRez but there are a lot of free cars here: http://www.dmi-3d.net/ Most are in lwo format but that can be converted to obj for import into DAZ Studio. Or it can be directly imorted into at least some versions of Poser and then saved as a Poser prop (pp2) for use in DAZ Studio.

Look in Content Library > Poser Formats > [content folder name] > props > Nationale7Props
