How to Get PowerPose to Work with Genesis 3?

I didn't even know PowerPose existed until all the recent talk about it with the new update. Now I'm trying it out, and it looks like it would be a fantastic help--if it worked.

Most of my library is Genesis 3, and for those characters, both male and female, several of the PowerPose dots don't work right.

For instance, if I load up a Genesis 2 character and use the Left Thigh or Right Thigh dot, I can use the mouse to adjust Bend, Twist, and Side-to-Side--basically, I can move the thigh just like you'd expect.

But on a Genesis 3 character, those dots control Twist, Z Rotate (which does nothing), and X Rotate (which does nothing).

Is there an updated template I could get to make PowerPose work with Genesis 3?

Good question!  I really wait it,, Because,  almost all nodes name seems  same,  there seems not many difference about node arrangement.

then if daz offer template without encrypted as dxe,,,,  user could  try to  make G3 template, compare with  G8 dse,, 

but I  believe DAZ  offer almost  same template for G3 figures .  

(when I  download G3F a few years before,,, as same as others,  I requested power pose template for G3 face nodes,, then  finally I see what I expect,,

but if it only work for new G8,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,    and if daz leave it off about G3,,, or say being worked on but DAZ time,,,,,,,, ,,,

at least,,  DAZ may lost one pratinam  member,, I think.

I hope that means actively, not that not that they have been being worked on for two years and counting... But since I've been doing posing other ways, I can at least go back to them and exercise patience. :-)

Are there any instructions anywhere for making one's own PowerPose templates? What is the DXE file format?

Before we can tweak "dsx" files , then there have been some user customize Power pose templates. for genesis, genesis2, genesis3.  to add node for more posing.

I used BlackFeather1973 template for,  genesis.

about each generation figures, some user customized by them selfs, and  they have offered for DAZ user. 

PDsmith or,, SnowSultan . then finally DAZ up-dated power pose as official with facial nodes, but new template file was encrypted I think.

it is not "dsx" files anymore.  and I could not open it in text editor.

I know who is working on them, but not how they will be released.

If you want to tweak the facial expression you don't need PowerPose for Genesis 3 to do facial rig adjustments just activate the Joint Editor tool, select a facial rig bone and tweak the bone translation and rotation in the Parameters pane. You don't even need the Joint Editor just selecting the bones in the Scene pane will do the same.

But lately I had a look at the PowerPose templates and its quiet easy to write/create your own. Because I definitely want a face template for Genesis 3 like the one for Genesis 8. It is just like writing HTML tags and if you have a closer look it is simple but a bit of work because I've counted 64 bones in total in the upper and the lower face rig that need to have a control point. I'm currently started to create an extra Face template for genesis 3 female for a quick test I and just added the brow bones and so far it seems to work like it should now I can rotate and move the genesis 3 brows with PowerPose. It is just quiet alot of work to copy paste all bone labels and aling the points to a propper placement on the backround image.

Also I wish I had a script that prints out a list of all bone labels of the upper and the lower face rig. Well once I have a script that gets the bone labels I could even write a script that generates the template file. I tried that but got stuck and it took more time than to manualy create the test template.

@Syrus_Dante  ummm to you it might be easy to write/create my own PowerPose template ....to me ...not so much ......Which is why I am praying to the DAZ gods for one!! I want one for G3with all the face bones ,G8 has spoiled me  but I still like G3 too  ...hmm didn't know about the selecting facial bones in the scene tab though thank you for that info .
