So, my wife...

I have spent a lot of money and time with the development of my stuffed monkey Model and my wife said that he does not look loveable enough. She is definitely comparing him to the real stuffed monkey doll. I believe the rendition is pretty accurate, but she says the face needs to be rounder even though this shape is of the real monkey doll. Go figure! Any how, what do you think? What needs to be improved and how? I know some of you said he looks scary. So, what can I do to make him less scary and more loveable. And no, I cannot start all over...this Model cost me guide a lot of money for his development.

It may be the manic smile that does it.

What would happen if you enlarged the bottom half of his face or else scaled down the large forehead.  The blush spots could be less concentrated in a perfect circle/button, and the color toned down a little perhaps?

Edit: In case not clear, I mean a bigger/rounder bottom half of the face.  Round is often "friendly" and anguler, not as friendly.

I would do a round face and take down the protuberant forehead. All the cute monkeys I see in that style have an circular face overall with no separate forehead. It is all just a big moon face.

I agree with both of the above comments, rounder larger lower face and scale down the forehead... or maybe move the hairline forward to or close to the eyebrows

Well, I like all of your comments. The monkey face is modeled after the actual stuffed monkey and that is what I want for a character. The hairline is also just like the stuffed monkey. I am toning down the face gloss and removing all blush. I am also putting a hat on him to help with the forehead. I do need a ball cap for genesis three, though. Does anyone know of one? Lastly, I really do not want to go back to the drawing board with this guy..I already spent a large amount of money for his development. i will see what the additional cost would be to have ajustments to the face as far as roundness.
