1st time using DIM, but installed G8 doesn't appear in DS - SOLVED

I have just downloaded and automatically install G8 via DIM. Only Genesis appear in DS. I also note that I have now a separate folder under My Documents called My Daz3D Library where G8 is. Normally I have DAZ3D where Genesis is and all other items. What should I do? Copy the installed folders out of My Daz3D Library over to DAZ3D directory?

Personally, I would uninstall G8 and then carefully go through all your DAZ & DIM file system location settings and update the locations to where you'd like them to be and then reinstall G8.
You probably need to add \C:Users\Public\Documents\My Daz 3D Library as a content direvtory
My Daz 3D Library is the default folder for DIM that everything should install to unless you change it.
Very, very small issue of semantics, I think that "should" should be "will" - "should" suggets it is 'proper' for it to go there, whereas the location is entirely down to the needs or whims of the user.
Finally I got G8F to work. I have moved the 'My Daz3D Library' directory into the 'Daz3D' directory under 'Studio'. Now I have 3 sub-directories: My Library, My Daz3D Library and My Daz Connect Library. G8F loads perfectly this time!![laugh laugh](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/teeth_smile.png)
Note that, if you intend to use DIM to install other stuff, you must change its default content installation location to match the D|S content loading location. The two programs don't talk to each other; if you change the location settings in one program you must also change the location settings in the other.
Also, if all you did was move the content folders, DIM might now consider G8F to be not installed and might install any updates into the same "wrong" location.
@SpottedKitty - thank you. I was myself thinking about this for future use of DIM since I have not used it before now.![yes yes](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.png)
