I stuck my finger in my Runtime Pie three times and came up with this:
Oktapussi's Bell of Doom by Traveler at RuntimeDNA
Channing's Toast & Jam by tabbycat at ShareCG
Housefly from Content Paradise summer2010
Not a great start because the Fly was only free for a brief time, and I'm not sure about the others, but this is where I'm heading. Be back soon-ish.
Ok, this is what I came up with.
Colonial Viper
Desk clocks
Chibi Miku
The desk clock is a former Daz weekly freebie and the web site for Chibi Miku is down.
The three Commercial random RRRR Style pull:
1) The Wrangler (Used Boundless Journey to apply The Wranger to it)
2) Vertical Living Repair Shop
3) Accent Tables
DAZ Studio 4.5 Built in content used:
1) Distant Lights
2) Point lights
3) M4
Freebees (* means registration required):
1) *Oil drums by DryJack
2) *Jerry cans by DryJack
3) *4Eyes-ladder by ColonelPanic
4) *4EScifiScreen by ColonelPanic
5) *Sickle Skater Shoes V4A4G4SF4M4H4F4 by SickleYield
6) *Sickle Skinny Tee M4H4F4 by SickleYield
7) *M4 Mountie Pants by Karth
8) *Russian WWII Tank Commander Helmet (for Poser) by Ranman38
9) *M4 Simple Glasses Smartprop by 3-d-c
10) *Plate of Food for Curiously Thankful by SickleYield
11) *A BEER BOTTLE by RIGO40
Mike the mechanic takes a refreshing beer to his lunch
Nice start to the challenge. Taking 3 disparate items and making a cohesive render can be quite difficult. All your links check out. Entry accepted.

Well choosing how I can randomly get an item seems to be proving harder than actually making an image.
My folders tell me there's 7912 zips, rars and exes on my HD (I shudder to think how that translates in my runtime). But beyond my paid fors, which are all listed in seperate word files, I only have folders listing where my free items came from and who made them. Ordering any of it into numbers would be daunting (not to mention time-consuming). Even my runtime isn't ordered the 'classic way'.
Any suggestions on a method of selection that I could use?
Okay, I gave this a shot. Combination of random button pressing and use of the randomizer solely on my props folder (the least organised of my folders) ...
First try pulled up my 'Celestial' folder. Randomizer chose the 5th folder within: DNA Xmas Snowflakes.
Second run gave me the 'Food' folder. Randomizer chose Chriscox's beverage cans.
Third go and I land on a set of tombstones.
Random enough? :P
Not now I'm busy!

In the case of drawing a texture set; I will allow the use of the product it is designed for.
The main reason we limit the number of paid for items; is because this is a freebie contest and we don't want the paid for items to overshadow the freebies used. Another reason is to show that freebie content can be just as good quality as paid for content.
This is good B...that way, the freebie can still be used and counted.
:-)
Hey...not bad! Quick too!
:-)
This render reminds me of like an old James Gang album cover with Joe Walsh juggling fish....cool!
:-)
Drat - you beat me to it!
Pull!
My three commercials pulled (mostly because I have no freebees in the bag)
#2424 Relic Hunter Essentials

So that's why the economy is in the tubes. All your links check out; your pre-selected items are visible. I couldn't see the lapel pin; so I'm not counting it. You have enough freebie links to cover that. Entry accepted.

I HAVE that housefly, Music, but with all due respect to fast3d, do you recall how UGLY it is (even for a housefly)?
Gerald Day deserves credit and eternal thanks for being there first and filling everyone's runtime with hundreds of neat and useful items, but some of his models are NOT "ready for their close-ups".
Also, YES, that IS Joe Walsh. Life's been good to him.

Hey; no substitutions for pre-selected items. You draw it; you use it!
;-)
Maybe you're just joking, BMan, but I believe substitutions ARE allowed over in the RRRR thread, cause your initial choices can be problematical.
Gotta give some leeway, otherwise folks might get scared off by all the added rinky-dink of thumbing through the runtime with an abacus and Mircosoft Office. Quiet enough as it is around here so far! :cheese:
Oh shit, I'm arguing about the rules, aren't I?
The only reason for redrawing is if you pick a plug-in or something similar; a shader or material preset that can't be used in your program (DS, Poser, etc.); otherwise all content is fair game.
Yeah Them's the Rules! :P

Anti fascist demonstrations in Madrid in mad March 1936
NICE one, Totte! Gotta keep them fascists on their toes, preferably running in the opposite direction.
Well, if it's something that can't be used in your program, what's doing in your runtime? Huh? Huh? %-P
That Dollygirl sure is getting bossy. :snake:
You betcha uh-huh uh-huh Them's the rules uh-huh uh-huh :-P
I got stuff for Poser, DS, Vue & Bryce in my purchase history list, so if I decide to build the scene in DS and pull something that just can't be used in DS as it is a Poser dynamic hair or a Carrara model or a Vue Plant or a Bryce shader, I redraw, as the RRRR rules says. Also, if you pull three mega environments, like Urban Future 3 & 4 plus Kingdoms of Marakesh and is using 32 bit DS 3, then you can redraw one of them, I know, I wrote the RRRR rules, that's why I make my first entry into the freebee render contest, is was random (and that's why I've spent more time trying to find working freebees than actually making the scene. I think I've trashed 30 different clothes kits for M3/v3/m4/v4 that just breaks in DS or the .obj files are missing or textures are missing... Many freebees are superb, but there seems to be a huge amount of plain broken stuff out there....
SMACK SMACK SMACK..... you have been pied Dorseyland, you already stated why, no arguing bout the rules
Wow, a quick turnaround. The first item links directly to the zip file; which we don't allow. Normal procedure is to link to the page & give directions to the download link. In this case it would be: http://www.poserdirect.com/free_build.html ninth item from the top. All the other links are fine. Your 3 pick are visible and you have enough links to qualify. Entry accepted.
So that's why the economy is in the tubes. All your links check out; your pre-selected items are visible. I couldn't see the lapel pin; so I'm not counting it. You have enough freebie links to cover that. Entry accepted.
The link to one of your three random picks is dead. Chibi Miku is not avaliable. Don't know how this will affect it qualifying as an entry. Those three should work for it to be accepted, but the host will let you know.
:-)
