What I'd like to know is if you can do shift-LMB  to select, eg, all three dots at once that form the lower-upper eyelid. I guess I will have to wait til my render is done to try.

At current,  power pose not offer multi selection . but offer node gorups which daz assgined for most of bones,  then pose.

bone  groups  can rotate  at same time. but actually it are assgined as "pose controller" then not change each bone rotation Raw value,,

that means, if you use power pose group,, then pose nodes, it not set keys for nodes. but key as pose controlelr value. (I really feel it annoying when export animation)

may need to bake Pose controlelr as transform values.  (but Bake to transform, not work,, about animation of each frame,,)

after that, change mode (aboout  Face) or select dot,, then rotate each value.  (it is usuall rotation , or translation value, as Raw)

Then I seriously hope, daz offer selection tool with nodes.  (rasso, or border, or brush type selection) in 3d view. or on power pose which user can easy set, and remain.

I hoped  daz offer way  to add new node gorup which can rotate at same time,  (though G8 pose template are encrypted,,)  without editing file with editor.

And if Power pose group posing use Pose controller,, please offer way,, we can customize group posing, as we like,, (eg select controller, then assgin new dot gorup)

Though I understand, it was hard work,, but at current, I think, new template  just add widget , which move pose controller (In pose tab or parameter) in power pose.

The difference, is,,  we move dot then change pose controller value, or move slider in parameter or pose tab,, then change controlelr value, about which already daz offered for each figure.  (and power pose template can not assign pose controlelr as we like,, )  (bend arms, or eyelids up-wards etc,,)

(so for blender user,, now we have many driver, or IK chain,, or shape keys,, then you add new shape for bone or, driver as widget,,

I think,,,  it is all about new power pose  template group,, I do not think it is great enhancement,, though make it more User friendly ,,to tweak controll,

but I think, DAZ denied or did not prefer  to attach many widgt in 3d view (eg move eye widgt in 3d veiw) before ?

A good trick when you use head controls with separate control for right and left is select in the parameters tab the currently used options so you can approximate the values more easily.

Open PowerPose tab in Window - Panes and dock it where you like it

Select G8 or G8´s head as you wish

    Open PoerPose tab select head

Now each point you select offers you some movements (four) depending on what butoon of the mouse do you click

The mouse drawings are selected with the button depicted in white

Move your mouse right-left or up-down  with the selected button following the texts. Try and err.

Here two moves used the yellow selected and the one above

Pupeteer is useful to save and mix

How and where do I find Power Pose, please? I have seen the video, but it doesn't explain how to make it work.

Install with DIM; Name is Genesis 8 Female PowerPose Templates

Open PowerPose tab in Window  above in the first "field"

In the list select Panes (Tabs) A new window appears

select it and dock it where you like it

Found it, thanks. Only problem is that it appears to distort some of the elements - for example the chin.

why bother with this tool at all ?

Hmmm, I see. It seems only good for posing and expressions for stills from what I've read here. I hope they improve it to make it part of an importable/exportable animation workflow in DAZ Studio/3rd Party program.

  • Is PowerPose in the Base-Version (not Pro) full working? Because i have in the template only "Body", "Hands" and "Head"! "Face" is missing!
