In the description of this product it says "The Daz Original Head- and Body Morphs work perfectly with Genesis 8 Female Characters and we take advantage here of this fact by intensively utilizing them."
Are there any actual original morphs in this product, or is it all just spinning existing dials for you?

SF-Design, could you start to think of a product  combining geograft-shaders-extra sliders for manipulating on hairs to give any hair more realistic styles and movements?

It would be very appreciated and no one has ever done something like this before.

    Thanks you!

On your Skin Doctor product, I would like to see albinese pale skin with and without blush, or vast freckle and wart buns options.

Hi So you mean hair adjusting morphs? I think those need to be per hair. Or what are you having exactly in mind if not morphs? Cheers

I mean like a Hair Doctor. Depending on the hairstyle type, you apply a geograft and voila half of the hair changes drastically for better story telling and realism. Example

Those examples are the first part of my suggested product on adding a change to any hair. This is the easy part. I will reply to myself here to show the most interesting part.

  • Partial predefined hair extensions like hair on the wind and gravity

Thanks for images. I see yes. Problem here is, this cannot be done as universal product since all hair has different meshe and morphs need to be made using the actual mesh.
So this would only be for a certain hair figure or several figures but not universal unfortunately.
The idea is good , really, I am also missing somtimes some kind of morphs for certain hair styles.

Why couldn't be attached like horns over hair on head? It could come without shaders, just the hair extension pieces.

and suggest to use the same hair shader like hair, easy

    or

I think GENESIS 8 deserves less rigid on every hair, it could help

Geografts are specific to a figure, you replace a section of that figure's geometry. It's not possible to have a geograft which would work on multiple hairs.

yes, so unfortunately it is not possible to create an universal add on. The idea is nice though. If it was possible, would be a great product for sure.

I dont understand why is not possible.

Ok maybe not geografts, but why not props with predefined places to be on a head?

Why couldn't be props as are eyeglasses, on this case it would be just like a strand of hair on a predefined position towards head plus a slider for a bit more wide movement, why is not possible?

    and sold like this  https://www.daz3d.com/nurnies-greebles-parts-and-pieces-vol-3

something need to be done, to bring more artistry realism options to all hairs

So basically you would want a set of various independant hair pieces that you could try to combine with existing hairs?

I do not know unfortunately if this is possible to have a prop that you attach to the hair and have it extend the hair someway.
The mats would need to be copied, must be scripted I guess to have it easy to use.
It must integrate nicely into the existing hair and may not look like put on.
Never tried something like that. I put the idea on my ideas list, but I cannot promise that we are able to do such a thing. For the scripting part I need to talk with my partner as well first.
It would make really sense only if universal, but I see a problem there. I do not know how the hair is shaped the user wants to use, so it might not integrate really well.
Horns a different, you attach them on the forehead. Heads are lookong more or less the same. But with hair, you have short hair, long hair etc. I think it is kinda difficult if not impossible unfortunately.
At least I do not have an idea right now how to realize something like that.

I think this is what he means, a kind of extension that you can attach to the existing hair.
I think this is rather something for the pro hair makers here :)

I made this suggestion because I am very comfident on your proficiency. I don't think hairmakers will create a customizing tool. I feel it could start with lesser pieces. Today we received this as premium gift from daz.

     https://www.daz3d.com/antique-clocks

the minute and hour hands can point any number with just two sliders. Why it can't be done with a small collection of hair extensions and two sliders?

    Thanks for your compliment :)
The sliders to rotate the clock hands are no morphs, they are controls for rotation , only thing you need to do here is adjust the pivot points for rotation on the axis and maybe do am ERC freeze and save it as a custom dial.  (one of my very first products had also a clock included where you can rotate the 2 hands) The thing with hair is much more complicated. It is not just a prop you smart parent to the hair. Well it could be one, but it needs to look nice. The materials are not the biggest problem here, with a script we could copy over the opacity maps and then apply for instance my UHS shaders.
More problems I think is the mesh itself. I could create morphs for existing hair but to have a universal prop as hair extension you can morph in different ways that suits all kind of hair... to be honest, I have no clue at the moment how this could be realized. It might work with a hair mesh (that only is the extension), but I never created hair meshes, this is complete new land for me :)

Maybe you suggest/ask for this in the common forum as well, as a product you would like to see. I am sure PAs like Goldtassel and Netfis could tell you really more if this is possible or not. Beside others they are experts on hair making and know what goes and what not. I must admit that I do not have a clue. What I could imagine was a joint product with a hair maker. They provide the mesh and me the mats/shader.

I will post in the PA forum too, asking if this was possible at all.

    Cheers

I posted your idea in the PA forum, maybe some of the hair makers got an idea and thinks it might be a good product too.

  • Any news on the Skin Doctor? Can we expect it in the near future?

  • Hi any chance you can suggest a fix for your skin doctor wet skins working with goldenPalace as it's driving me crazy trying to prevent the torso area going to white plastic! thanks much :)
