Love your work 4Blueyes, but sadly, unable to purchase the new ones for use. If only they had Legacy versions *nudge, nudge* ;-)

Strange - both Haley and Hayden are DAZ originals, but Hayden shows for me as a PC member with a 51% discount and Haley with only 30% discount (so no PC discount on this one?).

You are correct, there is a problem. Haley was 51% earlier this morning, but same as you I am seeing 30% now on Haley whereas Hayden is still correct at 51%.

...ohh I like Daydream. Perfect for my characters. Both the dress and textures for less than 14$ (since Daydream is a DO, I wonder if my PC coupon will work as well).

For the discounts, likely the system will be updated in the morning, at noon MST at the latest.

I also noticed all the MM featured items from previous days have become available today. That's convenient for those who missed them. Still, I haven't been wowed by the Madness, yet, though I did buy a few stuff from Jack's and Maclean's stores. Couldn't let those pass.

I still can't get a discount on anything I put in my cart. Hillarious! 8-/

On Thursday, 3/7, Aiko 3.0 and Hiro 3.0 were MM at 51%. I had Hiro in my cart while waiting for my daughter so I could discuss a project with her and choose which Hiro bundle I really wanted. Sometime around noon I guess, Hiro went back to 30% and no longer flagged for March Madness.

I called Daz on 3/8 because Hiro hadn't gone back to MM (and Aiko still was MM at 51%) and the rep turned in a ticket. I've had a couple of exchanges with Britney via the ticket system, but she doesn't seem to be reading the whole ticket. She keeps assuming that I want a refund or something and wants a screenshot. (Why would a take a screenshot of my shopping cart before I knew there was a problem?)

My concern is that if Hiro was supposed to be flagged for March Madness and he's now bugged, that he won't be included in March Madness again ever this month even if he should be.

I just hope Britney reads my notes on the ticket and reports this problem - and the one you reported with Hayden - so they are corrected.

And glad I'm not the only one who's seen this type of problem. so I know I'm not crazy, LOL! And while Hiro 3.0 isn't a life-changer for me, I wanted to have him to "balance" my Aiko 3.0 collection. :)

Oh man, I liked Prep Gear... Until I saw the vest from the back. It looks like it has a plunging neckline back there. But I like the blouse, so I am debating. =-)

Just a heads up: after establishing yesterday that the PC discount wasn't working at all on Haley, I hoped it would be in today's sale like many other items have been. It doesn't appear to be a part of any of today's categories unfortunately. However i stuck it in my cart on the off chance, and all the discounts were applied - 30%, 50% and 10%! So for anyone who passed up yesterday because of the broken PC discount, it can be included as part of MM today :)

Hayden is also still part of today's MM. Yesterday's clothing items are not :)

Me too, I'm not fond of the back.

does anyone know if the http://www.daz3d.com/luxus luxus is the same as Reality?

I think it's a similar product - a bridge between Daz and Luxrender but I don't think it's the same. For one thing the manual is only eight pages in comparison to reality's over 100. For another the renders don't look as good as I've seen reality renders look - of course that is down to the renderer not the product. I do like the close integration but I would like to know what kind of updates we'd be getting. Do you have to buy a new version everytime luxrender updates?

The question on my mind is: would there be any point in having Luxus if I already own and use Reality? I'm getting some nice results with Reality (far better than I have ever managed with 3Delight) but the render times can be very limiting. Usually I will start a render of a small scene (one figure, few props) and then put a movie on. Anything more complex and I let it run overnight.

I can't see that changing with Luxus because the render engine is the same. I'd like to have Octane but the price is prohibitive for me.

The render engine is the same, the integration appears vastly different. Just yesterday I was grumbling about the integration being a PITA, and problems managing materials and getting them to synch up well enough. Too many white shirts that should have been textured, hairs that looked like clumps of clay, and the absolute worst of all, fine displacement-based detail on sword sheathes, boots, and leather vests completely lost when trying to render via Reality.

If this integrates tighter to D|S, allows LuxRender materials control directly from the Surfaces tab, I'll be VERY stoked to try it. Area renders using Lux-backed renders is just pure gravy to me, compared to better material integration. Of course I'll have to see if it actually holds up to that, but I have a few Reality-built scenes which I should be mostly able to just 'load and go' and see if it actually processes the textures better.

Anyway, it's not like I don't already have LuxRender installed... This is pretty inexpensive, compared to the (admittedly more mature) Reality, and I'm definitely willing to try it.

Now if only it'd come out this Friday, AFTER I got paid. :-/

p.s. To the point of render times being limiting...if you can do area renders, then you could spot-check your lighting work, and cut down the number of times you have to do a full run significantly. At the very worst, this product will force Pret-a-3D to step up his integration quality, and maybe work to match this. That would be a great outcome!

That is giving me some pause as well. The renders in the store really did not blow my socks off like some I have seen from Reality or Octane. But there could be many variables involved in that. Hoping to see some more examples once people actually wake up. :)

Some good points there Morgan. I must say that I'm tempted but I have started to get used to adjusting surfaces in Reality. Nevertheless, the area render looks like a useful tool.

As for render times, I've tried to use GPU in Reality (I've checked the specs and my PC is more than adequate: WIndows 7 64 bit i7 8 core with NVidia 9800T) but checking the GPU box in Reality crashes out. I've even had a few Blue Screen of Death crashes. I have the latest drives, etc. etc. I wonder if Luxus has a GPU option?

This may all change as I'm switching to a new iMac when they get around to delivering it. My present to myself for my retirement.

    Greetings,
The last point is that given the MM discount, it ends up being under $9 after 55% off (if you've bought one of the MM keystones), which is $50 off Reality's price.

    I'm splurging as we speak.

    -- Morgan

p.s. Color me jealous; I work with a really good iMac at work, and I sometimes leave renders running on it over the weekend, or such, because it's such a WONDERFUL beast! :)
