How do I import faceshift morphs into Daz Studio?

I've been trying to work with Faceshift and Daz Studio for some time, but I can not find the form. When I import into Daz Studio the Faceshift file FBX is not morphs. I read that you could use the "Morph Loader" but I can not get it to work. Can somebody help me?

I have been experimenting with this lately. Did you prepare you Daz figure beforehand to recieve Faceshift animation data? If not, that is your problem. Ideally, for every faceshift blendshape, there should be a corresponding face morph for your Daz figure. In practice, this can be tedious since there are about 47 faceshift morphs. You can get away with less. So the first thing you should do is duplicate the facial expressions that faceshift displays on your Daz character.
Thank you very much for the reply. Now I'm trying to do just what you say. I'm having trouble creating the morphs. For example, I have created the right eye morph closed but when I post that morph the figure of Genesis 2 becomes small. I can not make morph work. :(
I do not know if I understood correctly. I have to duplicate in Daz Studio the facial expressions of right eye closed, left eye closed, open mouth ... and put the names that they have when I import the file FBX of Faceshift? If so, where do I have to put these expressions? When I import the character from Faceshift Daz Studio no longer recognizes it as Genesis 2.
Good. I solved the problem. In case someone arrives here as lost as I was I will explain what the process was. I have created some morphs with each of the Faceshift expressions using the ERC Freeze technique. These expressions I have saved in the same folder where the FBX figure saves. And now it seems that it already works.
I have been playing with it too but because DS doesn't read FBX, it can't be done that I know of. Brekel exports as a pz2 file but you definitely need the near mode on the Kinect for Windows. Played with it a bit today but the trial only allows 4 seconds of recording.
I am new to DAZ, so I didn't know about ERC freeze. I will try that. I did it the old fashioned way (the way professional animators do)
1. I export Genesis 3 with a neutral face expression as an FBX and imported it to 3dsMax.
2. I went back to DAZ and created my desired facial expression to match one of the Faceshift morph shapes
3. I exported this new Genesis 3 model out as FBX and imported it to 3dsMax. Now I have two G3 figures in my Max scene
4 I defined the second G3 figure in Max as a morph target and renamed the morph to the corresponding facemorph in Faceshift. Then I deleted the second G3 figure.
5. I repeated this process about 45 tedious times...
. As you can see, I am very determined to get proper facial expressions and lipsync.
6. After I had my 45 morph targets loaded into my G3 figure in Max, I exported it (FBX) into Faceshift and did the morph assignments. This was very simple because I gave the Daz morph targets the same name as the Faceshift morphs.
7. I started mocapping with pretty good results. I was very pleased with my hard work. Until....
8. I imported my mocap into Daz (FBX). It was a success after I reorientated the figure (it was flat on it's face instead of standing upright). The animation was intact but the figure was decimated and the bones were broken. So its back to the drawing board. I have an animated face, but it no longer has the charming qualities of a Daz figure.
Please share your level of success. Were you able to get the mocap back into Daz successfully? Please say yes
Hi. From Faceshift you can export your animation in FBX and then open it in Daz Studio. If you have already done the morphs will detect them without problem.
Hello, I'm new to Daz, I have faceshift 2015 and a realsense camera, and some characters from Genesis 3, could help me to animate the face, can you share the mapping of the morphs ?, and explain how I can do it, [email removed]
Have you searched on YouTube?
It was a pain in the butt to import Faceshift animation into Daz Studio. I have since moved on to Maya. With the DaztoMaya plugin, it should be much easier since Faceshift has a Maya plugin. I believe there is a MotionBuilder plugin as well. Save yourself the pain and use one of those softwares.
anybody tried faceshift to PZ2 Converter ?
