having issues with crashes to replaced the 980 ti with the ti 1050 from my gaming machine to troubleshoot..>
---
while the 980 rendered fine... the 1050 take about 2 seconds to render black...
but if I change the iray to cpu instead of gpu... I get the render.
---
when I changed cards the gpu listing changed to reflect the new video card.
---
newiest driver was installed a week or so ago as part of the card trouble shooting...
---
I remember reading about making sure domes don't block the light etc.. but shouldn't the gpu or the cpu both be seeing the same scene?
Comments
had the problem in past, no CUDA support under GTX 950
fixed after iinstall the toolkit
i suggest you to install "CUDA TOOLKIT" (on NVIDIA place)
after install, new drivers for your video card are suggested by NVIDIA more compatible with CUDA RENDER!
more infos
http://julip.co/2009/09/how-to-install-and-configure-cuda-on-windows/
problem solved... daz will say "look you have a 1050" in the iray info...
--
what it will not say is " this version of daz can't render with it"
---
so newer version of studio renders on card.---
this is the kind of info which should not be buried in the log file .. (which should basically be for programmers)
but this is one of those "instead of an enigmatic black screen" let's tell the user to update the program because this iray render module can't use this card.
