Hello Everyone,
I am new to Daz and have bought a few add ons to customize my character but would really like to hear what seasoned users use when they wanting to create the most unique character faces...

So what are your favorite facial morph kits that give you the best unique facial expressions and features?

Many Thanks!

It depends what figure you mean?

For V4 and M4, Morphs++ is a must, and for Genesis, the Evolution Head and Body Morphs fulfill near enough the same function. If you have these, you are off to a great start. You can also use Hexagon (or Sculptris or GoZ) to create your own.

The Evolution and Head Morph Resource Kits, assuming you are using Genesis, though buying some of the others (which are mainly whole-head shapes) and mixing them at lowish settings in can add distinction.

There's a set of morphs available for free on ShareCG but I can't remember the name of them at the moment. It's like 100 different sliders that let you customize different parts of the body. It's pretty good for getting a rough ballpark of a figure and then you can go in with Hexagon and tweak it until you get exactly what you're after.

    Die Trying's 182 Morphs!

    That's it!

This is what I have bought so far...
    Genesis Evolution: Head Morphs
I am working on a Madonna Series and do Madonna Charity Art @ http://facebook.com/mdnacovers and http://facebook.com/madonnaextreme
I am looking forward to really pushing the limits with this platform as it looks very easy to use and have had some excellent results already with the Head Morphs Kit I have already...

    Cheers and Thank You Everyone,

Here they are: http://www.sharecg.com/v/58198/ Both free and good...everyone who uses Genesis should get these.

Otherwise, also for Genesis, the Evolutions morphs are just about essential, the Morph Resource Kits by Thorne and Handspan Studios are very good, and Zev0's aging and FaceWeight morphs, available at Renderosity, are great if you want characters who look like regular people instead of fashion models. Of course, for something a little extra unique, there's always Creature Creator or the Wicked Fairytale morphs (you can dial some of the more bizarre morphs at low levels like 5-10% to create human characters that have a unique but not unnatural appearance).

It's also worth considering that some specific characters have a variety of morphs you can mix to come up with some unique-looking results...MaleM3dia's characters in particular often include a bunch of different faces and bodies to choose from.

The more morph sets you own, the more options you have...but even with just one or two morph sets you can have fun creating a bunch of unique characters.

And finally, don't forget textures...I feel that skin textures often convey at least as much personality as morphs do.

    There's FaceGen too.

The only problem with FaceGen though is it always messes up the eyes. The pupils get stretched out of shape and the eyelashes get elongated. I haven't figured out a way to correct this. The eyelashes are easy enough to edit back to size in Hexagon, but I haven't been able to figure out how to correct the pupil distortions.

Open the Eyes in the Shaping Tab or the Parameters tab and ZERO the Face gen morphs.

I have bought the Hexagon program and have seen enough online tutorials now to know between the two programs virtually anything is possible. I like how can create new morphs and save them like creating presets in Lightroom or Actions Like In Photoshop. With three years experience in working in layers in Photoshop and now adding the power of these 3 programs I see pretty much is possible. With all the work I will do with these programs will then be displayed in my New 3D Virtual Theater Studio I am opening in June with the use madmapper.com.... its is going to be just sick! Thanks for everyone's help and I will attempt to have my first 3D unique model rendering done by the weekend!!! Cheers and Happy Creating Everyone!!! - Johnny Boy
