Having trouble importing clothing and items

Kia ora

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I have a clothing set I fitted to a G3 female in max to make sure theres no clipping etc I tried inporting

the circlet using FBX at Y up I got an error and read on the forum here to set it to Z that fixed that but the Gizmo is ib the G3 body in the scene

the circlet is miles away, I tried setting the pivot in Max to center of the object and no change, I tried adding a skin modifier got a no root error tho that maybe because I used a skinwrap rather than adding a skin and adding the head bone, I'm new to this whole process so I'm relating to the tutorials I learn of for adding armours to Skyrim maybe a very different process don't know, skinwrap seems to auto pick the correct bones to weight, me well know what to pick other than a head I have no clue. the last two try's came in at a weird scale, way to small, don't know why thyer fitted to the G3 head size in Max.

Adjust the centre point in DS. You may find OBJ more reliable than FBX, though FBX should work in pronciple.

From what I see there is no easy way to reset the point of orgin on an object in Daz, still looking for the howto

    Edit:

    Found this.https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/15552/

For crying out load Daz is a 3D program you can 0 a whole char, clothes and all to the floor but you need to go tjrough ALL this to recenter the point of orgin and was set to center of object in the creation program, sorry this is unbelieve able we need to go through so much pain. Why in Gods name does the software not center the Gizmo on the models point of orgin at import or at the scenes point of origin rather than some random place in space, to so toys and they forgot the basic's
