Okay, probably a dumb question...
If you export an OBJ from Blender which has been UV unwrapped and texture/materials applied, then import into D|S, it appears that the materials come thru, but none of the material settings, including texture map images, come thru. And yes, the import is set to read surfaces and material libraries.
What did I do wrong?
Thanks.

Okay, I was right...dumb question.
OBJ only includes geometry data, not the images themselves. Nor does the associated MTL files. You need to make sure you have the right path reference so the original image files can be found.
Weird...for some reason my MTL file doesn't have any reference to any of the paths to the images...
I wonder if it's a Cycles thing. I set up the materials in the node editor for Cycles. Maybe that doesn't work going in to D|S?
UPDATE: uh, okay. Looks like it's a Cycles thing. You need to set to Blender render when setting up your materials
DOUBLE UPDATE: Darn, I'm so used to the Cycles nodes and materials I can't remember how to do it with the Blender render. Wow, I'll be so very glad when they finish the GoBlender plugin for D|S. That'll be awesome. Really. Very very awesome.
Just sayin'....![smiley smiley](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/regular_smile.png)
