Morpheus needs super hero/ villain hideouts!

A super secret crime lab hidden behind a book case? Secret doors and sliding panels? An evil villain lair? Toon versions of these could be awesome for Morpheus.

    Wow, I LOVE this idea! I don't do the Toon stuff myself so I just hope whoever makes it, makes one for regular renders too! Great idea though!

    Looking at it now, I wish that I his the ears on The Girl.

    Those are good but I agree  about the Batgirl ears being hidden.

    I made a few cartoon mixes with the previous cartoon morphs that I really liked, before. Morpheus is great for mixing in with other morphs. What is cool about the body is that it isn't over defined.So, you can add the proportions without losing much, if any, details of your original morph when you gradually mix it in. The Mudman is what I made with Morpheus and a few of the other morphs that I used before. I am in the process of mixing the Super-hero looking Morpheus shape into the old morphs, now. I made a few disneyesque faces, before, that I didn't render yet. The new nose morphs will help even further with that.

    Absolutely outstanding! Totally fun stuff, and it's nice to be able to create an entirely new -- and uniform -- style for series of characters.

    I don't think there's been an official word on a female version (let me know if there has) but it would sure be nice.

    Thanks for sharing the picts, feel free to show us any others. wink

    Well, a week on, the Morpheus bundle is the 6th best selling product outsold only by 5 Genesis 8 products. Given that female genre product models most always outsell the male genre products I'd be very surprised not to see the female equivalent of Morpheus.

    I wouldn't care about a female version except that there is a very specific body type in a lot of modern animation that Morpheus doesn't include:

    I would like to see ElastiGirl, Edna Mode, Dash, Jack Jack, shapes be possible to say nothing of Fred & Wilma Flintstone & Barney & Betty Rubble and quite a few others actually although the Veronica & Betty types seem to be much more abundant and the Mr Weatherbee & Mrs Grundy types not so much...you can't do Mr Weatherbee's sort of egghead and Mrs Grundy you can't do either.

    Usually we'd have heard an "aye" or "nay" by this point... which makes me hope that they're going to surprise us again.

    Purely optimistic on my part, but that would make for a very nice surprise.

    I think we also see male products sell better when they are better made and more useful, which morpheus definitely is. I do hope the new default arm poses for G8 make shoulder bulge go away and clothes fit better -and if so I hope to see some excellent men's clothing that will likely sell very well.

    Thank you.

    Here is Morpheus used at a low level just to bulk up the top portion of the body in 2 different characters. The one on the right uses the Morpheus Chin morphs. I am disappointed that there are not separate head morphs from the 5 characters included. There are 6 head shape morphs, but not the character heads as separate morphs. This happened with Captain Charisma, too. I tries saving one of them out as a seaparate morph, but instead it changed the amount of The Guy's head rather than add the morph I actually saved from a separate morph of just the one Morpheus character. I wanted to be able to use that chin fron the 2md Morpheus character.

    Those are good.

    I can't find a set of sliders just for their bodies. Have you?

    This isn't something specific to Morpheus. There's been an increasing need for all things in cartoon style since Girl/Guy and, more recently, Toon Generations 2. Surprised more wasn't done in that stylised form for those bases.

    THIS. We need THIS. It's a so much more useful tool in the toolbox if the head and body sliders are separate.

    They are a different style. There is a long Commons thread that was contributed to by various forum members a while back. Often you don't notice them because they are combined with other morphs. Now if you are talking more DAZ products designed specifically for TG2 well maybe that's because the clothing and hair and textures for regular DAZ models already work so well with them.

    I think the general point of the comment was wondering why there wasn't more toon style environment sets to go with the toon characters.

    I didn't get that from that but thanks.

    I think the key to more 'toon' style environments might be some combination of smoothers and shaders. I'm not sure how far you can take it, though.

    You can also do a lot with modeling. Even very low poly designs can look very cartoonish and stylized or you can go with high poly but exaggerated shapes.

    You want less this;

    and more this;

    Say what you will, but I admire the way World of Warcraft manages to extract a lot of cool visual style with relatively simple shapes. (Though as I understand it they have slowly increased and revamped graphics over time)

    well, WoW was foremost on my mind, actually. They too used low poly models with cartoonish shaping to express their art style.
