Can DAZ not close a file and resume render later?

I've known for a long time DAZ can stop, and then resume a render. But this does not seem possible if you close the file, correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. Because I really want to close my current open file but not lose my render. It's been going for a ridiculous 20 hours >_>

You can hit Cancel and then select File/Save Last Render, save the file and then click Resume in the render window to continue rendering. That will save the rendered image as far as it has gotten, but let you continue rendering. (Do not close the render window or click Save in the render window.)
So you are saying I can close out the entire file, and open it later and resume it?
No, once the file itself is closed that is it gone and you would have to start the render from the beginning. If you want the render to continue and still work on something else then open a new instance of Studio and work in it.
No!!! You cannot close the render window, or the scene, or the Daz studio application. I am saying you can capture the state of your current render with Save Last Render and then resume (continue) that same render. It is kind of a safety measure, to save the render progress you have so far, in case the Daz Studio crashes, or Windows update reboots your computer, or something like that.
