Please, how to convert V3 M3 and V4 M4 poses to V5 M5 or Genesis ? Is there an easy way?

Hello, I have seen that today the March Madness offer includes many Poses but most of them are for non Genesis or V5 or M5
Also there is on the Vendor sale the awesome and well done Millennium-3D Alphabet by Don Albert but regrettably this is only available for V3 and M3
I have searched in the forum but have not found much information, only this thread Posing Genesis and M4 and that there is available the Posemaster software for converting poses.
So this is why I ask
Please, how to convert V3 M3 and V4 M4 poses to V5 M5 or Genesis ? Is there a easy way?
Do you have experience in converting poses from previous generations to newer ones?
How do you do it ?
Would the V3 and M3 Shapes for Genesis and V4 and M4 Shapes for Genesis help for using or converting poses to Genesis and V5 M5?
Or these ones are only for using clothes from previous generations in Genesis?
Or perhaps what is needed is the Genesis Generation X and adding the GenX gen 3 bundle
Thanks very much for your help

You can actually use poses for previous generations to Genesis (although this is not vice versa, AFAIK). However, they won't be 100%, especially if limits are turned off (which is sometimes necessary for the pose) which often leads to distortion of the hands and feet. You could use Posemaster, though.

A free option is to pose the Genesis figure using the V3/M3 poses and then use DavidGB's pose adjust script:

Neither of these options are perfect fixes, but they do well enough that it cuts down the time you'll spend adjusting the pose for the figure. The hands and feet are especially going to need attention. Also, some tweaks will be needed with the torso, as Genesis has 2 Abdomen nodes.
Gen4 poses will work the best with Genesis since they both have all the same named nodes. Genesis has a few extra but since Gen4 did not have them they will remain uneffected. Gen3 poses do not translate forward since they have nodes that they newer generations do not PLUS in the hands the thumbs have certain rotations that are not the same so you will notice the oddity there too.
WOW!! Back to that in a minute.
Ok, the GenX and Gen3 bundle will help you transfer morphs (like shapes) from Gen3 into GenX. Not poses. The V3 and M3 shapes and the Gen3 bundle are for dialing Genesis into V3 and M3 (and you need that for GenX)
Posemaster is for poses (like how they stand and move). I was about to gripe about Posemaster, because I purchased it when it was brand new. To transfer a pose from V4/M4 to Genesis it took about 6 very difficult steps and I was sad about that.
However (and this is the WOW!! part) it has been updated, and you can transfer entire folders of V4/M4 poses into Genesis poses with one click. It takes some time to crank out, but it does not need your attention. So now I can go to my V4 Poses runtime and turn them all into Genesis poses. (however, it does not convert Gen3 poses.)
So I personally highly recommend Posemaster.

With the add on, Posemaster People Pack, it will convert V3/M3 poses to Genesis

and does it VERY well, You may have to tweak a finger or two, but I would give it about 98% perfection rate. :D
Thanks very much for all the answers and comments, are very useful and interesting.
I have tried once and did not work right and then after reading this below from 3DAGE, I thought it would be more complex than what it may seem and not just easy conversion
Yes, you are right, this is what I thought, the GenX and Gen3 would help to convert other things but NOT poses .

EXACTLY, I did not buy or use Posemaster because I have read on some other posts that it was not easy or well to convert poses easily and without possible further adjustments and tweaks and steps, and is good to know that it has been updated and that you can even convert and transfer an entire folder of poses
I suppose I should just try it out, but does anyone know if Gen 2 can use the Gen 1 poses? And if not, do you suppose this product will be updated?
Ok ok ok, I'll just go try it and report back.

So here is the comparison. V4 is on the left posed with one of DM's Feeling Pretty poses. Middle is Genesis with the pose converted. Right is Genesis 2 Female with the same converted pose as Genesis.
The pose is not perfectly converted, but the Genesis 2 female is nearly exactly the same (except the hand) as Genesis.
So it seems to still be useful for the Gen2 figure.
