View port color

My view port has suddenly changed from the gray background to black anyone have any idea why or how I can restore it without doing a wipe and reinstall?

    Window > Style > Customize Colors, last line.

    Don't know how it got changed but I have it back know

    Edit > Preferences > Scene, under "Backdrop Color" if you tick the box to Ignore when opening a scene, then the scene won't change the backdrop color.

    Found that

    However that doesn't cover why it changed as I hadn't loaded a scene when it changed all I had was Gen8 in a bikini wanted to see how the outfit looked Studio locked up and I got a windows program has encountered a problem message which shut studio down and when I opened it back up I had the black background.

    I've it fail to finish a render three times today with that same windows message
