Installing content with DAZ Install Manager instead of Connect

I don't want to use DAZ Connect, because I do most of my animation in Carrara, which doesn't recognize products installed by Connect.

Inside of DAZ Studio, I still have lots of content that shows up greyed out/  These items have a white triangle inside of a broken circle icon, which would allow installation via Connect.  But I don't see any option to install via DAZ Install Manager.

Meanwhile, if I look under DAZ Install Manager, at least some of these items already look like they're installed (there's an 'Uninstall' tab on the right side of them in DIM)

Any suggestions as to how to fix this?  I've attached a screenshot showing a whole bunch of products under 'A' which are greyed out.

    That sounds like a communication issue, between DIM and PostgreSQL or between PostgreSQL and DS. Most often that happens if DS was closing down, and closing PostgreSQL, as DIM was opening - in that case unisntalling and reinstalling in DIM, with PostgreSQL definaitely running, should be the fix.

    @RichardHaseltine  I found another (likely related) problem - and posted on this other thread.  (Feel free to fuse these threads together)

    As you'll see in my most recent post on that thread, I now have two sets of content installed and am tryingt o figure out how to address it.

    This is the same issue that I have mentioned several times.  DIM installs but Studio insists its not there.  Most of the time uninstalling and reinstalling the product will fix this, but its a pain.  And the double listing is a bit frustrating as well.

    Sorry - I'd meant to post a link to the other thread where I was discussing related issue (and have updated there) - reinstalling didn't fix for me - removing partial duplicate of My DAZ Library mostly fixed problem, though i still have isoloated files grayed out, some of which I need to use.  Testing right now.
