Hi
I am re installing my content using the install manager and i see many items shown as for example
Dimocrates Studio CF or Gabi for V5 Poser CF
What is the CF for, is it maybe Carrara, and will it make any difference, assuming that it is Carrara, if i ignore it
thanks

Don;t ignore it, use the filter to just download the files you need, like DS4 OR DS4.5 OR Poser 8 etc etc

CF stands for companion file, and it will be the DS materails for a Poser format product, so you need these for DS.

The install manager will give you the correct files in almost all cases.

a Poser CF or companion file is the file that poser users need in order to use the Core file with DSON.

DSON is the main DS file needed for DS4.5. If you are using DS4.0 then you need the Legacy files.

Thank you for that information, this starts to make some things clear to me, four example the fact that as i am running 4.5 i probably dont need to install the legacy files.

It stands for DAZ Scene Object Notation, and you can read all about it here David :)

On the Ready to Download tab in the upper left click on "Download Filters", then you can select just the applications you use and only see the relevant downloads for it.
