Hows does MacOS 64-Bit Future Affect Daz Studio/LipSync?

I keep a copy of both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Daz Studio on my MacBook Pro. The only reason for both versions for me is to be able to use LipSync on my characters. I recently did it on a model of my grand daughter which she had a fun time watching a 3D version of herself talking. Long term, I plan to use it for some animations I want to do for a short movie animation.
However, Today I was reading about the upcoming changes to the Mac OS in High Sierra and came across a unique piece about Apple beginning to phase out all 32-bit applications. In January 2018, app developers will only be able to submit 64-bit applications. Since Daz Studio doesn't go through the App Store, this isn't a huge issue, but starts the ball rolling towards June 2018 where all apps must be 64-bit, new or otherwise. Again, this is for the App Store, but it made me realize that the next Mac OS in 2018 will NOT allow 32-bit applications to run at all, something Apple has stated they want to do.
Not having the full LipSync in the 64-bit version of Daz Studio has been an inconvenience, but at least there is a work around. At some point though, and fairly soon, we have to seriously consider getting this problem resolved and get the full version of LipSync in the 64-bit Studio. Is there anyone at Daz that can give us some kind of heads up on whether this is the case? I already have to maintain a 10-year old Mac Mini just to run Bryce as it won't run on anything but Snow Leopard, an OS that was orphaned years ago. There has been no information at all if Bryce will be updated to be used on a new Mac and now I worry that a fairly useful item in Daz Studio will go the same direction.
I'd love to hear from a Daz spokes person on if we will see a version or replacement to LipSync sooner than later.

Yes, i have that question too. i use mimic at times.
Just as a general note, starting with OS X Catalina (10.15), which will probably be released this month, OS X will no longer support 32-bit applications. Mojave, the current version of OS X, issues a warning when you launch a 32-bit app for the first time; Catalina just won't run them.
If you're curious to know which apps on your system will stop running, there's a free tool called Go64 that will scan your hard disk and identify any potential problems.
DAZ applications that look likely to be affected include Carrara 8.5, and Hexagon. Hexagon is 32-bit, and won't run under Catalina. DAZ's release notes for the latest version of Hexagon say that a 64-bit Mac Hexagon is under development (as of June 2018) but not yet available.
Carrara is available as a 64-bit app, but Go64 has this to say about it:
Bryce, of course, stopped working on MacOS X several versions ago, and Catalina isn't going to make it magically work again.
Thanks wolf359 - i didn't think those were mac compatible. that's good news if we can lipsync on our macs in 64 bit,a s 32 bit will soon not work on macs as mentioned above. I will investigate to make sure those things are mac compatible.
If this is correct it's really good news for mac users!
Kind regards,
Riesa
