Two Hair Problems with Genesis 8

First I tried Reyna hair For G3F with Benita. The hair refuses to take ANY pose or shape, nor remove the crown and spikes entirely. That's bad enough. But when I try to use Sheridan Hair for G3F, DAZ crashes whatever auto-fitting option I choose! Shoulder-Length, Short Hair or None, it ALWAYS CRASHES!
I would like to return Reyna Hair for a refund, and please, PLEASE fix Sheridan Hair!

If you want to request a refund you need to open a Salse support ticket.
Which version of DS - Help>About Daz Studio will give the full version number in the top-left corner of the dialogue.
Reyna hair according to its description has custom bones that will be lost in the Auto-Fit-ting process. Auto-Fit retains morphs but it places them in a new sub-category making them hard to find. Have Sheridan and Auto-Fit-ting to Genesis 8 did not crash Studio. I have let render for only ten minutes but no signs of crashing there either.
ok.. got the same problem with Reyna hr and got it to work with Genesis 8.
You don´t select G8 and load the hair.. you load it alone.. select the hair and adjust it to g8 head in zero pose.. just a litle up or down.. then parent the hair to G8 head and you are good to go!!!
The spikes also can be removed. Well.. can become invisible.. go to surface.. select crown, cutoff opacity to zero and refraction weight too. Crown is gone!!!
Here's a working solution:
1. Make sure Genesis 8 female is NOT selected, then load Reyna Hair into scene by itself.
2. Select Reyna Hair. Go to Edit > Figure > Scene Identification.
3. Click the three dots button [...] beside 'Preferred Base'. Find 'Genesis 8 > Female', and click apply.
4. Now with Reyna Hair selected, fit it to your Genesis 8 figure. It will be applied automatically, no autofit and no removing of the bones. Will work exactly as it would on Genesis 3.
NOTE: Haven't tried reversing the process, but I imagine you just go back to scene identification and swap the preferred base back to G3 female.
